Surratt House Museum

Panorama Virtual Tour of the Surratt House Museum (10/07/2008)
HistoryBuff.com, a nonprofit orgainzation, has
developed a panorama virtual tour of the Surratt House.
Two versions exist for viewing this panorama in your web browser –
both
versions require a High-Speed Internet Connection:
(1) Using Flash
(2) Using Java
• Due to subtle differences in how the frames
are loaded, the audio for each frame may start before the corresponding video has
fully loaded.
• Make sure that you turn up the volume
on your computer to hear the audio.
NOTE:
This panorama virtual tour was developed by
HistoryBuff.com
who did all of the technical work. We are not responsible if you experience problems in viewing
the panorama virtual tour.
(1) Using Flash
In order to view this version, you need to use the following:
• A compatible web browser
• Adobe Flash Player
(possibly already installed on your computer)
This version works with most web browsers. Web browsers tested:
Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer 7
Firefox 2
Firefox 3
Opera 9.5
A limitation is that the the Fullscreen mode

has been disabled.
At the lower left of each frame are useful buttons:
Zoom In

,
Zoom Out

,
Autopath

.
(2) Using Java
In order to view this version, you need to use the following:
• Internet Explorer 6 or
Internet Explorer 7 web browsers
• Java
(possibly already installed on your computer)
There are problems with the audio when viewing this panorama with other web browsers.
For those web browsers tested:
e.g., no audio
after the first frame: Firefox 2, Opera 9.5
no audio for all frames: Firefox 3
On the last frame of the tour there is a "Next" button which does nothing when clicked
on it. The developer has stated that this button cannot be removed from the frame.
