Ask the Historians...
The story of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination and the
characters who played a part in it remain topics of keen
interest. Part of the attraction is that issues, questions and
mysteries still abound. Surratt House Museum historians have
offered to respond to your questions. If you would like to
address a question to us, please e-mail it to
Ask the Historians.
There are TWO e-mail addresses in the
e-mail form that appears when the above link is clicked. These
address are where the e-mail will be sent to ensure receipt of
your message. Please do NOT DELETE
either of these TWO addresses from the e-mail form.
If you haven’t received a reply within 10 days, please resend your question–to ensure your original e-mail didn’t get “mis-placed”.
PLEASE: Make sure that you include a MEANINGFUL Subject line (e.g., words related to your question) for your message so it can be distinguished from bogus, malicious, or spam e-mail. Failure to do this may result in your message being deleted without being read.
