2012 Conference—Law & Order, L.A. [Lincoln’s Assassination]
(A Special Bus Tour)
Friday, March 16, 2012
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The cost of this trip will be $75 per person and includes lunch. First preference will be given to those who have registered for the full conference. We will leave from the Surratt House Museum promptly at 8 a.m.
We plan on arriving at
Manassas National Battlefield Park by 10 a.m., where we will be met by our guide for the day, Ranger Hank Elliott of the National Park Service. Some walking is involved, so please dress comfortably. We will be tracing the progress of the battle as we visit the Stone Bridge, Sudley Springs, Matthews Hill, the Stone House, Henry Hill, Chinn Ridge, and Portici. A buffet lunch will be built into the tour around the noon hour.
After becoming seasoned veterans of the
Battle of First Manassas (or First Bull Run – depending on your sympathies), we will head back to Surratt House for registration, an evening reception, and socializing until 8 p.m.
